Database Programming Specialist needed for long term contract in Atlanta, GA.
REQUIRED DUTIES: - Plan and develop data-oriented web-based applications. - Plan and develop relational database designs with MS SQL Server and DB2/UDB. - Build multidimensional databases using MS Analysis Services. SKILLS REQUIRED: - Sound knowledge of programming techniques in a large-scale software development environment; - Knowledge of software development methodology; - Capacity and desire to learn new programming languages; - Strong relational database design and development skills; - Familiarity with dimensional (star-schema) modeling and data warehousing techniques; - Proficiency in compiled programming languages such as C or C++; - Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++; - Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, ECMAScript, Perl, or VBScript; - Proficiency in web-based application frameworks such as ASP, .NET, or BEA WebLogic; - Knowledge of web-based, user interface technologies using HTML, Dynamic HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTTP, and HTTPS; - Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills; - Ability to communicate effectively through oral presentations and written reports; - Good interpersonal skills; - B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related software engineering field from a university. |
