How It Works

SqlChallenge competitions are held on a daily basis for database developers, data warehouse professionals and database administrators.

Competitions test a member's skill in one of four major categories: SQL, Architecture & Design, Database Administration and Data Warehousing. These are offered at the basic, intermediate and advanced levels so individuals at all experience levels can participate.

DailyChallenge

Participants compete for weekly prizes through the DailyChallenge. Our DailyChallenge consists of a single multiple choice question that is released each day at 2:00PM EST. Questions may pertain to any database-related topic, including SQL, Administration, Architecture, and more. Each question remains active until the following day when the next question is released.

At the end of the week, the competitor with the most points accumulated is deemed the winner and awarded a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com. In the event of a tie the competitor who accumulated the most points in the least amount of time is awarded the prize.

Prizes are announced and awarded on the Monday following the previous week.

As participants continue to compete they obtain a ranking, making them eligible, to work with SqlChallenge on projects awarded by our clients.

Corporations that are sponsoring an event can choose from a number of our predefined venues or work with our panel to define an event customized to the needs of your environment.
